Power demand rises in the Capital

NEW DELHI: The Capital’s demand for power rose to 4,078 MW on Monday.

The peak demand was met by rotational load-shedding and overdrawal from the Northern Grid.

The total generation from the city’s plants stood at 1,284 MW.

To meet the demand for power in its distribution area, discom BRPL overdrew more than 200 MW from the grid.
