Soviet scientists, commenting on the successful space-flight of two dogs and a rabbit, said it was hoped that “perhaps, in the very near future, real cosmic travel would be achieved. Not all the problems of re-entry into the atmosphere had yet been solved however.” Courageous, one of the dogs brought back, described as “the first cosmic travel scout” has made two previous flights into space, Moscow Radio disclosed on July 7.
