Woman home guard murdered

KARIMNAGAR: Two-town police here are investigating a case in which a woman home guard was allegedly found murdered under suspicious circumstances in a rented house in Mankammathota locality of Karimnagar town on Thursday.

Police sources said that Bhukya Bharathi, 30, a native of Maddimalla village of Yellareddypet mandal, has been working as a home guard in the Police department for the last seven years. She attended to her work at the District Jail on July 7 and on the same night had a quarrel with some unidentified persons at her house. Police suspect that she was killed on the night of July 7 by unidentified persons who slit her throat. She has two sons, who stay in her native village, where her husband works as a Village Servant.
