Bomb hoax leads to chaos in schools
Staff Reporter
Tiruvannamalai: Bomb threat call received by a government-aided school in Tiruvannamalai led to chaotic scenes in most of the schools in the town, as scary parents thronged campuses asking to send back their children.
Though the phone call turned out to be a hoax, unable to convince the parents the school declared holiday for the school in the afternoon. In the meantime, air became thick with rumors stating that several other schools were also receiving bomb threats. Following this, parents started thronging in front of a number of schools pressing hard for sending their children back with them or to declare a holiday. However, finally, many schools declared holiday and sent their students home.
