DETECTING: Sniffer dog checking students’ bags at the school in Dindigul on Friday. DINDIGUL: A bomb threat created panic in a private school at NGGO Colony near here on Friday evening. The school authorities evacuated the children and kept them in an open ground near the school. Students were advised to leave school bags and lunch bags on the premises. Acting on information from the school, the bomb detection and disposal squad along with sniffer dog scanned the entire building and bags of teachers and children. Later, they found that it was a hoax. Then the parents and teachers were allowed to collect the baggage. PanicEarlier, panic gripped the school when an anonymous caller called a school staff through telephone and informed him that a bomb would explode around 4.30 p.m. on the school campus.
