CHANDIGARH: Haryana Governor A.R. Kidwai on Friday inaugurated a mosque in Panchkula. It has been constructed by the Haryana Wakf Board at a cost of about Rs.1.50 crore. Dr. Kidwai said temples, mosques, churches and other religious places are symbols of the secular spirit which promotes unity, equality and national integration among different communities. They offer an opportunity to the people to worship Allah or God, he added. He complimented the HaryanaWakf Board for running various welfare and charitable activities by providing financial as well as other material help to the poor and needy persons.
