Bangalore: A five-day preparatory camp for the Indian team for the Emerging Players’ tournament in Australia, will commence at the National Cricket Academy and at the Chinnaswamy Stadium here on Saturday. Coach Pravin Amre and players from the S. Badrinath-led squad arrived in batches here on Friday. However skipper Badrinath and M. Vijay will reach the City on Saturday morning. On Saturday, the players will have a fitness test at the NCA gym in the morning and a round of nets later in the afternoon. The camp will conclude on July 15. The Emerging Players’ tournament to be held in Brisbane from July 20 to August 1 will also feature the Australian Institute of Sport team besides squads from South Africa and New Zealand. — Principal Correspondent
