Substandard drugs

BANGALORE: The Drug Testing Laboratory has said that the following drugs are ‘Not of Standard Quality’: Ciprofloxacin tablets I.P, ciprosel-250 (batch C2-002) manufactured by Waksman Selman Pharmaceuticals Anantapur in Andhra Pradesh; Ofloxacin tablets, Ocinol (batch 41081) by Biotec Private Ltd., Vadodara (Gujarat); Gentamic injection I.P, Lytamycin (batch LT-19) manufactured by S.K. Parenterals Private Ltd., Tetali (Andhra Pradesh); and Unifolin 50, manufactured by United Biotech (P) Ltd., Solan (Himachal Pradesh).
