Alert gateman averts train accident

Tuni: An alert gateman, Gangadhar, averted a major accident near Tuni on Saturday when the brake beam of the Visakhapatnam-bound Nizamuddin Link Express snapped and was found touching the track. He noticed the brake beam of the second bogie from the engine, an unreserved compartment, hanging loose below the train.

Gangadhar, gatemen, immediately informed Railway Traffic Inspector Rajput Singh and Pointsman Madhusudan Rao. Deputy Station Master of Tuni Station stopped the train.
