Mysore limping back to normal

Special Correspondent

MYSORE: Mysore is limping back to normality after sporadic incidents of violence rocked parts of Udayagiri and N.R. Mohalla last week and left three people dead and at least 18 injured.

No fresh incidents of violence had been reported from any part of the city after Thursday’s demonstration held in defiance of the prohibitory orders by supporters of Popular Front of India forcing the police to resort to lathicharge to quell the mob. However, prohibitory orders under Section 144 will be in force till July 13. Meanwhile, senior police officers, including Additional Director-General of Police (Intelligence) Kempaiah, and Deputy Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) V.S. D’souza took stock of the situation.
