Deepan loses to Daniel

NEW DELHI: Grandmaster Deepan Chakkravarthy lost to fellow overnight leader Spain’s Daniel Alsina in the seventh round of the Paris International chess tournament in Paris on Friday.

Following his first loss, Deepan remained on five points and slipped to the fifth spot. Alsina enjoys a half-point lead over three players.
