Gold for Irfan

VISAKHAPATNAM: Irfan Ali of Kerala won the gold in the boys’ fin weight category of the 27th National sub-junior taekwondo championships at the Swarna Bharati indoor stadium here on Saturday.

Medal winners: Boys’ fin: 1. Irfan Ali M. (Ker), 2. T. Srihari (AP), 3. Whilson Pradhan (Sik) and Pramod Kashyap (UP).

Girls’welter: 1. Akshata P. Chalke (Mah), 2. Charmaine R. Mendonza (Goa), 3. Chandni Bano (UP) and Triveni M. Hiremani (Kar). — Special Correspondent
