Murder accused done to death

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: A 26-year-old man facing criminal charges was stabbed to death by his rivals after being called for a meeting to settle their disputes at Dabeerpura late on Friday night.

Mohd. Matin was invited by Fayeem to sort out differences they had for the past two years. Last year, Matin murdered Fayeem’s friend Arshad accusing him of spoiling his sister’s life by entering into an illegitimate relationship with her. He was arrested and lodged in jail.

After coming out on bail, he began threatening Fayeem over phone alleging that the latter was trying to misbehave with his second sister. He was also intimidating Fayeem’s elder brother Feroz believing that he had tipped off the police about the murder he committed last year, Dabeerpura Inspector, D. Prasanna Kumar, said.

Accompanied by a friend Irfan, the mechanic went to the Dabeerpura bridge. Fayeem also went there with a couple of friends.

Fayeem and Matin hugged each other when Feroz came from behind and stabbed Matin on his head and back. Scared, Irfan ran to the near-by Dabeerpura police station.

By the time he returned , Matin was lying in a pool of blood.

He was rushed to a hospital but doctors pronounced him dead on arrival. Late in the night, the Dabeerpura police caught Feroz after a chase near the fly-over.
