11 killed as bus rams stationary truck in A.P.

KURNOOL: Eleven persons were killed and 10 were injured when a private bus rammed a stationary truck near Allagadda in Kurnool district in the early hours of Sunday.
The accident occurred five kilometres from Allagadda town on the National Highway No 18 when the bus (AP 04W 4689) hit the truck around 4.30 a.m.
The bus owned by Sivasai Travels was on its way from Hyderabad to Madanapalle.
Most of the victims hailed from Kadapa and included a Probationary Deputy Superintendent of Police, Reddy Giridhar, who was to take charge as the sub-divisional police officer in a few days at Nandyal, hardly 40 km from the spot of the accident.
