Expedite construction

The stretch between Papanasam and Saliyamangalam is an important link road between Thanjavur- Nagappatinam National highway and Thanjavur-Chennai highway. In between the link road, a bridge construction work on the river Vettar has been on slowly for the past one and a half years.

I request the authorities to expedite the construction.

Train connectivity needed

There is no train connectivity from Thanjavur, Kumbakonam, Mayiladuturai, Chidambaram, Puducherry to places like Ernakulam, Kottayam, Tiruvalla, Kollam in Kerala.

The people of the delta districts have to depend on road transport to visit Sabarimala and other cities in Kerala. Students residing in Kerala have no accessibility to Annamalai University by train.

Pilgrims of Kerala interested to visit Navagraha temples situated in and around Kumbakonam and Mayiladuturai, Velankanni and Nagore Dargah have to depend solely on road transport.

Hence, I request the Railway Minister to introduce train service from Puducherry to Kerala via Chidambaram, Mayiladuturai, Tiruchi, after the BG works on the main line are completed.

Ban share auto

Heavy traffic congestion is witnessed on Nagapattinam- Nagore main road every day, and accidents are on the rise, owing to share autos.

Most of the share auto drivers have no driving licence and proper documents. Moreover, the government allowed only five passengers to travel in a share auto, including the driver, but drivers do not follow the rule. So I request officials to ban share autos.
