Tuticorin: Pitchaimuthu (55), of Erode and his wife Gomathi (40), were killed in a road accident when two vans were involved in a collision near Inam Maniyachi Junction in the early morning of Monday around 1.15 a.m. According to police, the van in which they were travelling from Tirunelveli to Erode collided head on against the vehicle approaching from Kovilpatti and on its way to Kazhugumalai. Eight others including the driver, Velumani (35), of Erode were injured in the accident. The injured were admitted to Government Hospital, Tirunelveli. T. Senthil Kumar, Superintendent of Police and R. Murugesan, Inspector of Police, Kovilpatti West visited the spot. The Kovilpatti West police have registered a case
