Gurukul children taken ill

Mahabubnagar: Around 40 students of Gurukul School at Kodangal town were hospitalised on Monday with complaints of stomach pain and diarrhoea.

According to sources, the inmates of the residential school developed the symptoms after having breakfast served in the school. They were rushed to a local hospital.

Gavaskar, the in-charge principal of the school, said that the school authorities had been preparing food for the past few days following the end of the term of mess contractor. The students were discharged in afternoon.
