Seven killed as bus is washed away in Orissa

BHUBANESWAR: At least seven persons, including two women, were killed when a bus with around 45 passengers on board, was washed away in floodwaters in Nayagarh district of Orissa on Monday evening.

The incident took place at around 6 p.m.

The bus was crossing the culvert over Basalia rivulet in the Daspalla area of Nayagarh.

20 rescued

About 20 persons were rescued and many were missing till reports last came in.

The bus was proceeding from Bhubaneswar to Khandapada.
