Workshop on animation film-making

Thiruvananthapuram: Toonz Academy, the animation training division of the Technopark-based Toonz Animation studio, will organise a national workshop series titled ‘The lighter side of a brighter film.’

The session will focus on the ‘fun and enthusiasm’ in animation film-making.

The workshop will be handled by creative director Subra Krishnaswamy. An illustrator, a graphic designer and an animator, Subra has served as Creative Consultant for studios in Europe and South East Asia.

He has worked on various projects with clients like Leo Burnet (U.K.), MTV (Singapore), Temasek Polytechnic (Singapore), Cartoon Network (Hong Kong), Toonz Animation (India), Agogo Productions (Hong Kong), Ealing And London Media College and Cambridge University.

The emphasis of the session will be on the pre-production stages of animation, where Subra will share his experience on the eventful journey that culminates in a classic flick. The series will be launched in Nagpur on July 18. It will be held in Jabalpur, Thiruvananthapuram, Kozhikode, Chennai, Bhopal, Indore and Ahmedabad also.
