Rains wreak havoc in Karnataka; 5 persons killed

Bangalore: Heavy rains across Karnataka left a trail of destruction in many districts claiming five lives and causing damage to property.

Three persons, including two children, were killed on the spot and two others, including a one-year old boy, were injured in a house collapse at Laxmisinganakere in Hubli on Wednesday night

According to police sources, following incessant rain, a portion of the retaining wall built by the Hubli-Dharwad Municipal Corporation at Laxmisinganakeri in Dharwad fell on the house of one Hanumanth.
