Irresistible: A representative of Tibarumal Jewellers displays Ashtalakshmi Vaddanam at Hotel D.V. Manor in Vijayawada on Friday. — VIJAYAWADA: Tibarumal Jewellers & Exporters, who have been in the business of making and selling jewellery in Hyderabad from 1947, is organising a two-day exhibition in the city for the first time. The exhibition-cum-sale will be held at Hotel D.V. Manor from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, said proprietor Sanjay Gupta at a press conference on Friday. Mr. Gupta, the grandson of Tibarumal Gupta, who founded the business, said though they conducted different exhibitions at various places, this was first time that they were organising an exhibition in Andhra Pradesh outside Hyderabad. The exhibition here would be followed by one in Visakhapatnam. Special featureMr. Gupta said their speciality was to manufacture customised jewellery to suit individual needs and preferences. An in-house designer would be available at the exhibition to respond to special requests. Some of the categories of jewellery that would be on display include gold jewellery, gem set jewellery, bracelets, brooch, earrings, necklaces, pendants, rings, idols, vaddanam, dhankada, kundan items and antique jewellery.
