Irregularities in hostels found

HYDERABAD: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials on Friday unearthed various irregularities during two surprise checks conducted on several Social Welfare hostels in Kurnool district.

At the ST hostel in Allur, the actual strength of the inmates was found to be 35 less than the figure shown in the records.

Likewise, the strength was 43 less in the BC boys hostel at Chinnahothur village that the figure in the records.

Officials seized records on expenditure, stocks, daily purchases, attendance for verification, a press release issued by the anti-corruption bureau here said.
