Chemists protest against panel report

Staff Reporter

KOCHI: All Kerala Chemists and Druggists Association has termed the recommendation made by the Assembly subject committee to initiate legal action against the association, as “unilateral”.

K. Sahadevan, president of the association, said the subject committee had alleged that the association was not supplying medicine to Neethi medical stores in the State.

He said the committee had not involved association representatives in the talks being held on the issue.

The representatives said the association had never directed pharmaceutical companies and distributors not to supply medicine to Neethi medical stores.

They said there was a concerted move to defame the association by spreading rumours against it by some vested interests.
