NALGONDA: A minor clash broke out when some dissident cadres of the TRS, believed to be supporters of the former youth wing president of the TRS, Jitta Balakrishna Reddy, allegedly tried to prevent some senior TRS leaders from addressing a press conference in Bhongir on Thursday. According to sources, the rebel cadres barged into the R&B guest house where the TRS leaders, including the party’s vice-president K. Yadagiri Reddy, assembled to address a press meet in the afternoon. The dissidents allegedly entered into a heated altercation with the TRS leaders and asked them to leave the place. A minor scuffle ensued as some of the members of the two groups clashed with each other. Some chairs at the venue were damaged in the incident. Meanwhile, the police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control. Later, addressing media men Yadagiri Reddy and other TRS leaders alleged that the opportunistic elements which left the party with narrow political machinations were bent upon undermining the separate Telangana movement.
