India-Pakistan joint statement welcomed

HYDERABAD: Peace activists, including Admiral (retd.) L. Ramdas, former Naval chief, and film-maker Mahesh Bhatt, welcomed the India-Pakistan joint statement and called for follow-up action. In a statement, they said the two countries were victims of terrorism. Resumption of composite dialogue was the only road to permanent peace in the region. – Special Correspondent
