Rain at some places

NEW DELHI: Southwest monsoon has been active in east Rajasthan.

RAINFALL: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at many places in east Rajasthan, at a few places in east Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand and at isolated places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, west Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: HARYANA: Tajewala 1, HIMACHAL PRADESH: Pachhad 7 and Nahan 2, EAST RAJASTHAN: (5 cm and above) Nithaua 16, Dug 11, Sunel and Jagpura 10 each, Dogod 9, Manoharthana and Dariabad 8 each, Mangrol, Kishanganj, Aspur, Ghatol, Jhadol, Kotra and Arnod 7 each, Asind, Gyangarh, Badnor, Anta, Kota, Ladpura, Ramganjmandi, Mandana, Pratapgarh and Pipalkhunte 6 each and Bijoliya, Jhalawar, Pirawa, Pachpahar, Gangdhar, Baran, hahabad, Bundi and Begu 5 each, WEST RAJASTHAN: Raipur 6, Jayal 5, Nokha 2 and Sujangarh, Bikaner, Chatargarh, Pachpadra, Balotra, Dorimanna, Luni, Desuir, Jatrain, Sajat and Khinvensar 1 each, EAST UTTAR PRADESH: Banda, Chandauli, Varanasi, Maudada, Zamania and Rath 2 each and Dudhi, Ghazipur FM, Jaunpur, Mohaba, Machhishahar and Mohmai 1 each, WEST UTTAR PRADESH: Mahurani, Fatehgarh, Jhansi and Moth 3 each and Gauratha and Mauranipur 2 each and UTTARAKHAND: Uttarkashi 8, Bausan 5, Dehradun and Karnprayag 2 each and Pantnagar and Chinyalishar 1 each.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL THE MORNING OF 19th July 2009: Rain/thundershowers will occur at many places in south Rajasthan and southwest Uttar Pradesh and at a few places in rest of the region except Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab where it will be isolated.

FORECAST FOR DELHI AND NEIGHBOURHOOD VALID UNTIL THE MORNING OF 19th July 2009: Partly cloudy sky with possibility of thundry development/ light rain.
