Delegation to meet Chief Justice today

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The members of the Thiruvananthapuram Bar Association and the representatives of the Federation of Residents Associations (FRAT), Thiruvananthapuram, will meet the Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court, S.R. Bannurmuth, at his chamber on Saturday and submit a representation demanding the setting up of a High Court Bench in the capital city.

The Bar Association delegation will lead by senior communist leader Varkala Radhakrishnan and bar association president C.K. Seetaram. The FRAT delegation will be led by its president Pattom Sasidharan Nair and vice-president Parinayam Devakumar.

The delegation pointed out that the Centre had expressed its willingness to constitute a Bench here, provided it receives the consent of the High Court Chief Justice.
