TAAI for low-cost airlines

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: The Travel Agents’ Association of India (TAAI) is of the opinion that low cost airlines (LCCs) are the future of travel. There is a pressing need to develop infrastructure for tourists, like budget hotels, and more service providers in the hospitality sector.

Rajinder Rai, TAAI president, at a press conference here on Friday regretted that travel agents did not get their due share of recognition.

R. Sunil Kumar, TAAI honorary secretary-general, said for the first time TAAI would be holding the India Travel Trade Expo in February.
