Missing man traced
NEW DELHI: A resident of Jammu and Kashmir who had gone missing from Lajpat Nagar here on July 9 has been found in the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences here.
Shaukat, who was supposed to take a flight to Vietnam from Delhi, had been staying with his relatives in Lajpat Nagar before he went missing. A report was lodged with the police a day later.
Back in J&K, Shaukat’s family approached political leaders reportedly raising suspicion that he had been picked up by some security agency. The Delhi police received calls from the J&K Chief Minister’s office and also from the Union Home Ministry enquiring about the case. A massive search was launched for Shaukat and he was finally found at AIIMS.
