Indian students bag 4 medals in IBO

Mumbai: India finished with a haul of four medals — one gold, two silvers and a bronze — at the 20th International Biology Olympiad (IBO) that concluded in Japan on Sunday.

A team of four Indian students, who participated in the week-long IBO held at Tsukuba, were among the 220 students across the globe from 56 countries, national coordinator, Science Olympiads, Vijay Singh, told PTI here.

Vidhi Hathi, Jodhpur (Rajasthan) won a gold medal; S. Chetan from Bangalore (Karnataka) and Usnish Adhikari Haldia (West Bengal) won a silver medal each; while Amit Gupta, Patiala (Punjab) won a bronze medal. — PTI
