Murdered student’s parents seek arrest of culprits

Chaitanya’s body was found in an abandoned well in March

KADAPA: P. Parasuramudu and Sybhadramma, parents of Chaitanya, a degree II year student, who was found murdered in March this year, on Monday appealed to the police to arrest the culprits responsible for the murder.

The two belonging to Kalamalla village in Yerraguntla mandal said their daughter Chaitanya, who was studying B. Com. (Computers) in Kamisetty Degree College in Proddatur, left for college on February 25 and her body was found in an abandoned well near Kosinepalle village in the mandal on March 2. Two gold chains, a pair of clothes, her purse and slippers were missing, they said.

RIMS hospital staff were claiming that the post-mortem report was not yet ready, they lamented at a press conference. The parents said they had petitioned Kadapa SP D.S. Chauhan over a month ago, but nothing came through. Mahila Samakhya secretary Basherunnisa and leaders P. Sanjeevamma and Raju were also present.
