COUNTDOWN: People gather on Beach Road on Tuesday for a demonstration on solar eclipse. PUDUCHERRY: Arrangements have been made on Beach Road to enable the people to view the solar eclipse on Wednesday. The Pondicherry Council for Science and Technology of Department of Science and Technology, along with Pondicherry Science Forum, has taken initiatives to explain the concept of total solar eclipse and dispel myths. “Puducherry will have 66 per cent visibility of the eclipse from 5.45 a.m. to 7.17 a.m. There will be a telescope to help the people. Arrangements have been made between Gandhi statue and Le Café,” A. Hemavathy, vice-president of Pondicherry Science Forum, said.
