Meet to discuss innovative methods to improve performance of business houses

CHENNAI: The Chennai chapter of the student-run organisation AIESEC will host a meeting here on July 25 to discuss business strategies and the impact of innovation on the way Indian companies are run.
The fifth edition of the annual meeting will be addressed by chief executive officers such as E. Sarath Babu of FoodKing, Ranganath N. Krishna of Grundfos India, Devendra Saharia of Ajuba Solutions and Executive Director of TVS Capital Funds Suresh Raju.
Rekha Shetty, Managing Director of Farstar Distribution Networks, who will moderate the discussion, told mediapersons on Monday that since the conference was being held in the backdrop of the economic slowdown the focus would be on using innovative methods to improve performance of the business houses.
“Innovation is a scientific tool and companies should foster the technique and system to use innovation as a tool. The downturn is an opportunity to innovate. Companies should know how to build the culture of innovation. There is more opportunity now than before. Company heads and HRD executive will talk about how to deal with the downturn.” she said.
Mr. Sarath Babu said he would be talking about entrepreneurship and the strategies to make entrepreneurship a success. “I will be guiding and mentoring the students and will coordinate with the students throughout the year,” he said.
