Health drive by students

KOZHIKODE: The schoolchildren in the district will be out in the streets on Friday with awareness and cleanliness programmes in view of the possibility of increase in contagious diseases as the rain subsides.

The high school and higher secondary school students will clean the schools and premises and will visit the houses in their wards. The programmes will be led by various clubs.

The senior students of upper primary schools will visit the houses near their schools. They will distribute leaflets prepared by District Sanitation Mission.

The students will devote the time up to noon for the campaign, K.K. Sivadasan, coordinator, district education committee, has said in a release.
