1.46-crore in grants approved

NEW DELHI: The Delhi Government has, through the Delhi Kalyan Samiti, approved grants amounting to Rs.1.46 crore for 15 prominent institutions and non-government organisations. Rs.25 lakh has been given to Poorna Prajna Public School run by Sri Admar Mutt Education Council, NGO Mahamana Malaviya Mission has been sanctioned Rs.20 lakh. A Rs.20-lakh grant has been sanctioned to the All-India Ayurvedic Congress for organising an Ayurvedic Conference in October this year.

Other major beneficiaries of grants include Tabla Wizard Pandit Chatur Lal Society which has been sanctioned Rs.15.6 lakh for organising two musical concerts; the Durand Football Tournament Society that would get Rs.10 lakh for organising an annual tournament in association with the defence forces; and Bharatiya Grameen Mahila Sangh which has been sanctioned Rs.10 lakh for undertaking various welfare activities.
