3 injured in accident

CHENNAI: Three persons were injured as an MTC bus hit two private buses after hitting a pedestrian on Velachery Main Road on Wednesday.
According to the police, G. Sanmugam (51), driver of the MTC bus, first hit the pedestrian, Sasikala (40), and in a bid to avoid running over her, rammed two buses that were parked on the road.
He sustained injuries and was admitted to Government General Hospital. Two others, including Sasikala, were admitted to private hospitals.The Guindy traffic police have registered cases under Section 279 (rash driving) and Section 337 (causing hurt by endangering life or personal safety of others) of the IPC against Sanmugam.
