High Court directive on Vijayan murder case trial

CHENNAI: The Madras High Court on Wednesday directed a Fast Track Court here to complete in two months the trial in the case relating to the alleged murder of K.Vijayan alias Vijayakumar (53), a relative of the former Chief Minister, M.G. Ramachandran, here on June 4 last year. Justice C.S. Karnan passed the order on a petition by the CB-CID, which was filed by the Public Prosecutor in charge, P. Kumaresan. The prosecution’s plea before the court was to modify a condition with regard to the bail granted to three accused and an order to expedite the trial in the case.
