Three killed in road accident

HYDERABAD: Three friends riding a motorcycle got killed when an oncoming car rammed their vehicle near Balapur crossroads in the old city on Wednesday.

M.V. Jahangir, plumber, 23, Syed Hasham, salesman, 25, and Mohd. Javed, car driver, 25, all residents of Kurmaguda in Saidabad, were going towards Balapur crossroads around 6 p.m. when a Mahindra Renault car hit them.

The three youths sustained serious head injuries and died on the spot, Pahadisharieff Inspector, Mutyam Reddy, told reporters. The car driver fled the spot.
