TexFair exhibition

Staff Reporter

COIMBATORE: The Southern India Mills’ Association will organise here “TexFair 2009”, an exhibition of textile machinery, accessories, spares and logistics, from July 24 to 27.

Chairman of the exhibition J. Thulasidharan has said in a release that about 100 exhibitors would display products at the fair.

The main products would be textile machinery, spares, accessories, testing equipment and electrical and electronic components. Exhibitors have come from Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, West Bengal and Karnataka. Overseas participants included those from China, Japan and the European Union.

Textile mills spent 2.5 to three per cent of their annual turnover on spares and accessories and invested four to six per cent of the turnover on modernisation.

The event would help the mills meet all suppliers under one roof and plan investments and cut costs.
