Animation film festival

KOZHIKODE: Devagiri Film Club will screen three films at a festival of animation films at St. Joseph’s College here on Sunday. The films are ‘Kung Fu Panda,’ ‘Wall-E,’ and ‘Ratatouille’. ‘Wall-E’ (2008), which walked away with this year’s Oscar for the best animation film, is a science fiction romance featuring two robots. It is directed by Andrew Stanton, whose works include ‘Finding Nemo,’ also an Oscar winner. ‘Ratatouille’ (2007), directed by Brad Bird and Jan Pinkava, too is an Oscar winner for the best animation film. It is the story of Remi, a rat who becomes a chef. ‘Kung Fu Panda’ (2008), directed by John Stevenson and Mark Osborne, is about a panda’s comic quest to become a kung fu master. The film features a dubbing cast including Dustin Hoffman, Angelina Jolie and Lucy Liu.
