Rangayana Director B. Jayashree (left) addressing presspersons in Mysore on Saturday. MYSORE: International troupes may perform at Bahuroopi, annual national theatre festival, at Rangayana here this year. Rangayana Director B. Jayashree disclosed this to presspersons here on Saturday. She said that it was expensive to bring international troupes to shows such as Bahuroopi, and therefore, sponsorships for such efforts were necessary. She refuted reports in a section of the Press here that there was a tussle between her and the artistes of Rangayana. “If there are any issues between us, they will be sorted out amicably,” she said. “There is nothing controversial and our focus is on the development of Rangayana,” she clarified. She said “Kadadida Neeru”, one of the important plays in Kannada, would be staged at the weekend theatre show, Varanthya Nataka, at Bhoomigeetha in Rangayana here on July 26.
