SALEM: Pasumai Thayagam organised a programme in Vazhapadi to create awareness among people on the negative effects of global warming. The programme by the organisation was also to highlight the need to protect the environment and preserve it for forthcoming generations. Members of the organisation erected a board carrying information on global warming at Vazhapadi bus stand. In addition to this, they distributed handbills to the people on the need for conservation of the environment. District Convenor Venkatachalam led the activities of the organisation.
