Bus service to Dharmapuri Uzhavar Santhai

DHARMAPURI: A town bus service on route number 31, from Indur to Dharmapuri Uzhavar Santhai, would be operated daily via Mariapatti, Kanapatti, Papparapatti at 10.30 p.m., said District Revenue Officer Mageshwari Ravikumar here on Friday.

Accepting the demand of the farmers at the grievances day meeting held at the collectorate, Ms. Ravikumar instructed the transport officials to start the service immediately for the benefit of the farmers.

In response to a demand for loan for buying milch animals, she advised the farmer to talk to the official concerned.

Some of the farmers demanded financial help to till their barren land, she said the financial help will be available only if the farmer could get a certificate from the VAO or Revenue Inspector saying that he land had been barren land for the last three years.

She directed the farmers to bring quotation from a recognised power tiller dealer and submit applications with the Assistant Agriculture Officer concerned complete with all the necessary documents such as patta, address proof etc.

Presiding over the meeting, Ms. Mageshwari received 90 petitions from the farmers. Officials replied to all 133 petitions received during the last grievances meeting.
