THANJAVUR: Indian Bank has contributed Rs. 1 lakh for the Thanjavur development scheme announced by the Collector, M. S. Shanmugham. The cheque was handed over to the Collector by K. Malathi, Deputy General Manager and Head of Kumbakonam circle of the Bank here on Saturday. The Collector said that the amount would be taken as share from people under Namakku Naame Scheme and works taken up with the contribution of share from government. Viswanathan, Chief Manager of Indian Bank, Mohandoss, Senior Manager, were present on the occasion. Already Indian Overseas Bank has donated Rs. 3 lakh for the scheme.
