Belgaum
Belgaum: K. Sreedhar Rao, judge of the Karnataka High Court and administrative judge of Belgaum, inaugurated the Samudaya Bhavan of the Belgaum Bar Association here on Saturday. Congratulating the members of the association, he said that the bhavan was the second biggest after the one on the Bangalore High Court premises. He also thanked Suresh C. Angadi, MP, for arranging government funds, and cardiac surgeon M.D. Dixit for his donation. Chief guests Suresh B. Adi said that he regretted the degradation of the legal profession. He said that advocates and lawyers should realise their importance as leaders and the catalytic role they could play in strengthening democracy. The Samudaya Bhavan is named after advocate D.B. Dixit.
