MYSORE: Sri Rama Sene chief Pramod Muthalik, who was arrested in Belgaum, said that he has begun a hunger strike from Saturday to express his resentment against the Bharatiya Janata Party for falsely implicating him and his organisation in connection with the recent communal violence here. “Neither me nor Sene activists had any role in the communal violence at Kyathamaranahalli. But, the BJP has hatched a conspiracy to fix me in the case. The party is harassing me and suppressing the voice of pro-Hindu groups,” he alleged. Speaking to presspersons before being shifted to the Central Prison here, he said, “I am fasting since morning to protest against the BJP’s designs. I was arrested in Belgaum on Friday night and brought here at 12 noon on Saturday. Since then, I have not consumed water or food. I will continue to fast; let us see what happens.”
