No change in EAMCET schedule

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: The allotment of seats for engineering courses would be done on August 17 and there would be no other change in the schedule of the counselling announced earlier.

The APSCHE Chairman, K.C. Reddy told reporters after a meeting of the EAMCET Admission Committee that certificate verification would be done from July 28 to August 7 and web options facility would be open from July 31 to August 12. As of now 531 engineering colleges exist while another 90 are likely to be added.

However, colleges that get permission before July 27 would only be added in the counselling list.

There will be no second phase counselling.

A medical college is also being proposed at the IIT Hyderabad near Sanga Reddy and efforts are on to acquire 35 acres of private land near the IIT location.
