ELURU: Arogyasri Minister Pitani Satyanarayana on Saturday disclosed that a three-member Central team will visit the State in October for a study on implementation of the Arogyasri programme. The committee consists of Union Health and Labour Minister and a member from the Planning Commission. The visit is scheduled close on the heels of a plea by the State government for Central aid to support the Arogyasri programme in the State, according to the Minister. Collector’s pleaCollector A. Vani Prasad on Saturday said she would shortly call for a meeting with the industry representatives from the district with an appeal for contributions to the ‘Education Fund’ created by the State government for the benefit of poor students from socially backward communities. She wanted the philanthropists to make a success the scheme by liberally offering donations. She recalled the government’s endeavour to provide free corporate education to the poor students from BCs, SCs, STs and minorities through the Education Fund.
