Opposition to take to streets on mining issue

Special Correspondent

BHUBANESWAR: After attacking the Naveen Patnaik government in the State Assembly on the illegal mining issue, the opposition parties have started preparing to take to the streets on the issue.

The BJP, which took the lead in raising the issue in the Assembly, on Saturday decided to stage a dharna outside Raj Bhawan here on Tuesday to demand a CBI inquiry into the scam involving illegal mining and transportation of minerals from Keonjhar and other parts of the State.

PCC president K.P. Singh Deo has met AICC president Sonia Gandhi and demanded the mining scam should be probed by the CBI.
