Chennai: Opener L.N. Prasad Reddy constructed an innings of 201 (444b, 21x4, 1x6) for IOB against UFCC (T. Nagar) on the second day of the fourth round match in the TNCA first division league at Chepauk on Saturday. A.S.K. Varma made 72 (186b, 9x4) as IOB declared at 439 for five. UFCC was 88 without loss in reply. Globe Trotters outplayed Southern Railway by an innings and 57 runs at the MRF-Pachaiyappa’s ground. Leg-spinner A. Edward Kennedy and offie Sunny Gupta claimed four wickets each as Southern Railway, following on, was shot out for 105. Vijay openers Abhinav Mukund (113, 132b, 17x4) and K.B. Arun Karthick (121, 122b, 11x4, 2x6) put on 221 runs in 36.4 overs against Parry’s at IC-Guru Nanak. Vijay eventually declared at 454 for eight with R. Prasanna scoring 95 (123b, 7x4, 3x6) and S. Sathish Kumar 51 (54b, 5x4). Having conceded a lead of 312, Parry’s was 87 for three in its second innings. Sadagopan Ramesh, overnight 89, completed a century (101, 187b, 13x4, 1x6) for Young Stars against Grand Slam at the RKM-Vivekananda ground. However, Wilkins Victor (94, 203b, 11x4, 2x6) missed the three-figure mark. Grand Slam left-arm spinner V. Arun Kumar prised out five batsmen.
